Maullín (Mapudungún: inmutation of mau and lliuñ, and means «waterfall» or «rainfall») is a city and commune in southern Chile located in the province of Llanquihue, Region of the lakes.
It limits to the north with Los Muermos, to the east with Puerto Montt and Calbuco, to the south with the Chacao channel and to the west with the Pacific Ocean.
